Tea With Me: 9th October, 2018

9th October, 2018 Tuesday

Well, tea was green with Jasmine hints and 10k steps flowed.

The Dream Kite had a complicated tale but the string slipped oh so gently out of grip. People I did not know and business that was not mine. Dreams sometimes can be a window that reveals another’s world that we witness while we drift right on by.

It was time to oven a quantity of squash we have acquired since the CSA is full of Fall’s gourd fruits. The dogs can eat the seeds, flesh and all. So two of them went in this morning and Viola, we have a bowl of squash this week to dribble in their bowls.

My Husband likes to forage so I sent him off to Market with a list of makings for Silk Balls for the Dogs. Now, its a big big deal to make a batch of Silk. It makes a big big batch.

Zoi is now at seven months as tall as My Dragon Lady Deerhound. She is a big big girl on her way to be bigger but right now all her food is going to her bones and cushion she has not. Its time for Silk.

Her German People Grandma tells us she feeds Fusilli Pasta to encourage padding on her Zois who grow tall and slim at first. So Husband had Fusilli also on his list.

So the items for all this Doggy Feast arrived around midday. Squash was already nicely cooked. I took the Zoi out in the back field with Corgiette and Oldest and watched the three play ball. There was no question whose ball it was, oh no, it was without a doubt Corgiette’s rubber sphere Oldest threw across the Field and Zoi knows it to her soul, oh no, I don’t dare teeth that ball. But fun it was, oh yes, Zoi does not care that its Corgiette’s sphere. She just loves to run.

But it was Bath Day once again. Zoi came right in to dreaded room with tub and with the help of treats in tub she walked right in all on her own. And stood for the time we had the shampoo on and rinsed off eating several of her Super Treats and her Papa held her while I gunned the hair dryer over her frothy fur again with lots and lots of Super Treats.

Silk Balls assembly next, oh I had lots and lots of company. Noses right and left and some on toes. Wheat germ, oats, gelatin, total, oil, molasses, and a dozen eggs including shells all mashed up together and molded into 56 balls. And while we did all that we boiled up a pot of squiggly fusilli.

Did they feast tonight or what? Oh yes.
